This includes the implementation of specialized "hook and line" techniques to replace traditional dolphin - harming netting practices and "selective harvesting" techniques to ensure all non-targeted species are returned to their environment unharmed. In addition, Raincoast Trading is committed to constantly researching ways to utilize all leftover products to reduce unnecessary waste.

To ensure our products are of the highest quality, all of Raincoast Trading's canned product lines are cooked only once to ensure the products natural juices and flavours are maintained. No water or oil is added to the product during the canning process and non-iodized sea salt is used in place of processed salts.

To further our commitment to environmental consciousness, Raincoast Trading embraces the environmentally sustainable concept of "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Refuse". All products are responsibly yet attractively packaged. All cans are fully recyclable and our labels are printed on recyclable paper enhanced with award winning artwork, using soy based inks devoid of plastics and high gloss finishes.
