The Raincoast Trading brand embodies both the spirit and practicality of environmental sustainability. Our products originate from wild, migrating stocks of healthy, resident Albacore tuna, Sockeye and Pink salmon that have evolved over centuries to thrive in the rich ocean and river environments of the rugged Pacific Northwest.

Raincoast Trading employs the most ecologically responsible methods available to harvest and process our seafood products. Our harvesting methods are both discretionary and sustainable. We target superior-quality Albacore tuna only, and use specialized "hook and line" techniques in place of traditional, non-discretionary, dolphin-harming netting practices.

We also embrace sustainable harvest techniques with our salmon products. All salmon bearing the Raincoast Trading name are caught in portable fish traps, enabling us to conduct a thorough, species-specific harvest, in which we return, unharmed, all non-targeted species to their environment.
